Since I’ve had, for the most part, minimal response to my pleas for feedback on my poems as I post them each week, and the full archive has grown to truly daunting size, each Thursday for the past year and a half I’ve posted links to a smaller selection of poems, asking for your opinion of them individually and compared to others in the group—valuable information as I prepare a collection. I titled these posts the “Poetry Archive.” Last week was the last scheduled “Poetry Archive” post (if there’s sufficient demand I’ll reconsider), so today’s post is an index of the whole series, so anyone who wishes can go through the whole thing without having to also sift through unrelated posts in the other “departments” of this blog.
The series began with an introduction in September 2011, then began with the first poems I posted here and went from there in chronological order for the first three “volumes.”
Volume I: Parts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12.
Volume II: Parts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, and 18. I also did a post describing my preliminary results only a few weeks into Volume II, at the turning of the civil calendar.
Volume III: Parts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7.
After Part III caught up with my schedule of posting new poems once a week, I switched from chronological to thematic selections.
Volume IV dealt with the theme of love. It included parts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10.
Volume V included poems having to do with nature. It spanned parts 1, 2, 3, and 4.
Volume VI covered my poems with the themes of melancholy and longing. It included parts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10.
The last iteration, Volume VII, went over those poems relating to the Christian faith, covering parts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9.
I’m still (always!) looking for advice on which poems are my best, and how to improve any of them, so I do encourage you to take some time and go through any of these selections.
